Endeavour Partnership Trust

Consultations on Admission Arrangements

Endeavour Partnership Trust is consulting on its admissions arrangements from September 2026 for the 2026-27 academic year and beyond. The key amendment to note is:

Admissions priority – Reception to Year 6

- amendment to priority 4; the definition of children of staff to include children of all staff members.

Current definition of children of staff:

‘Children of staff’ means children of a member of staff that has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time when the application for admission to the school has been made.

Proposed definition of children of staff:

‘Children of staff’ means children of a member of staff that is employed at the school at the time when the application for admission to the school has been made.

The Trust recognises that giving priority to children of staff may promote staff morale while supporting recruitment and retention.

Any comments on this proposal should be emailed to: Alison Deadman adeadman@endeavourpartnershiptrust.org.uk

The consultation will be run until 5pm Tuesday 28th January 2025. Any comments will need to be received by this deadline.

This proposal affects:

  • Windrush Charlton Primary School
  • Windrush Thamesmead Primary School
  • Hawksmoor Primary School

Endeavour Partnership Trust: Consultation on admission arrangements at Hawksmoor Primary School for entry in September 2026

Proposed change:

The Endeavour Partnership Trust is consulting on the admission arrangements for Hawksmoor Primary School, to take effect from September 2026 for the 2026/27 academic year and beyond.

Due to a continued reduction in pupil numbers; we are proposing the following change - to reduce the admission number by 60 pupil places; from 90 places to 30 places. This number is more reflective of actual and future pupil numbers. This will not impact on any pupils currently attending Hawksmoor Primary School. This will mean that the number of places available for children in Reception in September 2026, and all subsequent Reception cohorts, will be 30.

This is the only proposed change to the admissions criteria. All other criteria will remain the same.

A copy of the proposed school admissions arrangements for September 2026 entry can be found below:

The following factors have been considered in deciding to consult on this proposal:

  • The continued ability of the school to provide sufficient places for local children
  • Future resource planning and management

In accordance with the School Admissions Code, the Trust will be running a consultation on this proposal from Wednesday 13 November 2024 to Wednesday 15 January 2025.

Who is being consulted?

  • Current and potential parents and/or carers of pupils at Hawksmoor
  • Staff within Endeavour Partnership Trust
  • The local authority (Royal Borough of Greenwich)
  • Other neighbouring local authorities
  • Any other interested party who might have an interest in the proposed admissions
